After installing the Physio-Control LIFENET SDK 9 software, an additional step needs to be taken to ensure the database is properly upgraded and needs to be done for client upgrades and new installations. This is outlined below.


NOTE: If existing case data needs to be retained, a backup copy of the database should be made prior to the upgrade process as a safeguard.


From the Windows Start menu, select Physio-Control and expand the Administrative Tools. Click Database Utilities.



This will launch the Database Utilities application. On the left side, there will be a list of attached databases. There should only be one. Highlight it. In this example, the database name is Demo (default).



As seen in the next two figures, upgrading the database can be done by either the File -> Upgrade Database menu option or clicking the Upgrade Database icon.

 


The following message will be displayed. Click OK to continue,  Cancel to exit.
